The scheme included 9,000 sq. ft. of retail and 9,000 sq. ft. of offices and involved the demolition of the existing building and construction of a new five-storey building. The basement and ground floor was designated as retail/office space with all upper levels being class B1 offices.
The site is in the centre of the iconic Carnaby St with the rear of the building situated in Kingly St. Both Streets are pedestrianised meaning deliveries for all the retailers needed to be closely co-ordinated with our own deliveries. Once materials were off loaded they needed to be removed into the project immediately having two types of blocks and three types of brick on such a small footprint presented a real challenge.
